WTC 2019: Green and Intelligent Mobility for Future Transport

The 2019 World Transport Convention (WTC 2019) was scheduled to convene in Beijing, from June 13 to 16, 2019, with the theme “Green and Intelligent Mobility for Future Transport”.
WTC 2019 was hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), the Ministry of Transport (MOT), and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), organized by the China Highway & Transportation Society (CHTS), and supported by over 100 enterprises, universities and colleges, research institutions and organizations worldwide.
Since its initial launch in 2017, the World Transport Convention has been successfully hosted for two times. WTC 2019 is composed of the opening ceremony and keynote speeches, the “Belt and Road Initiative” international transport topics, academic forums, expo, special subject competition and awards ceremony, and results release and service innovation, thus forming an international exchange platform of "convention, exhibition, competition and service".
"Convention" refers to the opening ceremony and keynote speeches, the “Belt and Road Initiative” international transport topics, special forums and technical sessions. The academic program features over 1,400 technical forums and sessions, including 40 are key forums.
"Exhibition" means the transport technology expo. The exhibition is a showcase of the latest technologies and project cases in world transport fields such as highway, railway, aviation, water transport and postal services, with an exhibition area of about 37,000 square meters.
"Competition" refers to the final of the World University Students’ Bridge Design Competition 2019. The Competition received a total of 268 submissions from 1,179 participants, including undergraduates from 16 countries such as the U.S., Germany, Italy, Japan, Belgium, Pakistan, and Equatorial Guinea.
"Service" means the building of a platform for press release of significant achievements and service platforms for innovations, where the think tank research results including the China Transportation Development Report 2018 and the Development Report on the Automatic Driving and Vehicle Infrastructure Integration will be released.
