The Chengdu Forum of the World Transport Conference, jointly organized by the Executive Committee of the World Transport Conference and China Highway Society and related units, was successfully held in Rongcheng and achieved fruitful results. The conference is divided into two stages: online and offline communication activities will be held from November 8 to 10. WTC online activity week will be held from November 11 to 15. Under the theme of "Building New Transportation Intelligently, Coordinating New Development", the conference held 23 offline parallel forums, more than 100 online academic forums and 9 thematic activities.

First, the general situation

The World Transport Congress (WTC) is an international academic conference and achievement exhibition platform in the field of transport sponsored by China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Transport and Chinese Academy of Engineering, undertaken by China Society of Highway and supported by domestic and foreign transport science and technology organizations. Since its inception in 2017, it has been successfully held for three consecutive years.

In order to promote academic exchanges in the field of transport and combine high-level academic exchanges with service for local transport development, the Executive Committee of the World Transport Conference and China Highway Society jointly convened the Chengdu Forum of the World Transport Conference in Chengdu from November 8 to 10. This is the first time for the World Transport Congress to be held outside Beijing. Guests from supporting and co-organizing organizations, representatives of international organizations, more than 10 academicians from home and abroad, as well as more than 1,500 representatives from domestic and foreign transport authorities, universities, scientific research institutions, enterprises and public institutions attended the conference.

The Chengdu Forum of the World Transport Congress is the first local forum held by WTC, which is a beneficial exploration on the combination of high-level academic exchanges and service for local transport development. Second, fruitful results

Transportation is a very collective concept, under which there is the coordination between various modes of transportation, as well as the cross-coordination between various disciplines. The Chengdu Forum of the World Transport Congress brings together the thoughts of relevant disciplines and scholars on the points of concern of the Congress, allowing scientists and experts to achieve unity through the collision and exchange of ideas and the verification of viewpoints. Through the conference, new technologies and achievements will be well transformed through WTC, an international exchange platform. In the process of transformation, they will be transformed, upgraded and developed.

During the Chengdu Forum of the World Transport Congress, high-level academic exchanges were combined with services for local transport development. Two landing agreements were signed, one white paper was published and 10 group standards were issued.
