Journal Introduction: The Journal of Railway Science and Technology (JRST) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access comprehensive academic journal jointly edited by Professor Jiang Lizhong and Academician Du Yanliang. It is jointly sponsored by Central South University and China Railway Group Co., Ltd., and co-published by Central South University Press and KeAi. As the English counterpart to the Journal of Railway Science and Engineering (EI-indexed), JRST focuses on cutting-edge theories, advanced technologies, innovative equipment, optimized processes, and novel materials in the railway field. The journal places special emphasis on emerging interdisciplinary technologies closely related to railways, aiming to promote multi-domain collaborative development and engineering technological innovation. It strives to create a high-level, international academic exchange platform to advance high-quality research and sustainable development in the railway industry. JRST has successfully been selected as a "High-Starting New Journal" in the 2026 Hunan Provincial Project for Cultivating World-Class Xiang Edition Science and Technology Journals.

Scope of Publication: Focusing on cutting-edge theories, advanced technologies, innovative equipment, optimized processes, and new materials in the railway field, with special attention to interdisciplinary emerging technologies closely related to railways.
