To all relevant organizations:

The World Transport Convention (WTC) serves as an esteemed international academic conference and exhibition platform collaboratively endorsed by domestic and international organizations specializing in transport science and technology. Since its inception in 2017, the convention has been successfully convened on nine occasions and played an important role in promoting global exchanges and cooperation in transportation technology and raising the industry’s overall influence.

The World Transport Convention 2026 (WTC2026) is scheduled for June 2 to 3 at National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin), having received official approval. Jointly organized by China Highway & Transportation Society, China Institute of Navigation, China Railway Society, Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China Society of Automotive Engineers, and China Air Transport Association, WTC2026 takes “AI + Transportation” as its theme. It focuses on the in-depth integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and transportation, gathers scientists, entrepreneurs and industry experts in the transportation sector at home and abroad, aiming to deepen innovative coordination and international exchanges and fostering the development of modern transportation. The total number of participants is limited to 790. Further details are outlined below:

IV. Participant Categories

1. Invited Guests: This group comprises leaders from pertinent national ministries and commissions, representatives from international transport organizations, academicians from China and abroad, and distinguished experts and scholars.

2. Transport Sector Representatives: This category encompasses representatives from transport authorities of provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities. Additionally, it includes participants from enterprises and institutions in various domains such as highway, waterway, railway, aviation, and automotive transport. It further involves representatives from higher education institutions and research organizations specializing in transportation, business representatives from the transport industry, and members of transport-related societies and associations at all levels.

3. Representatives from Related Sectors: This section includes participants from departments such as housing and urban-rural development, authorities in science and technology, trade promotion agencies, municipal administrations, and financial and investment institutions.

4. Organizational Members: This designation refers to members of the World Transport Convention’s Organizing Committee, Executive Committee, Scientific Committee, and Academic Sub-Committee.

5. Authors of Scientific Papers.

V. Registration and Payment

Due to WTC2026’s limited capacity, participation will predominantly consist of invited guests. A restricted number of open registrations will be available for individuals who successfully complete the payment process.

1. Participants may register, make payments, or link an invitation code through the official convention website or the mobile platform (please select one option).

Method 1: Please visit the official convention website and select the Chinese or English language interface to complete registration and payment or link an invitation code. For international students studying in China (only for authors of scientific papers), please select the Chinese language interface, upload student ID documents and enjoy the student rate upon approval.

Method 2: Alternatively, scan the QR code below to access the mobile platform. Click on “Participant Registration” to register, make a payment, or link an invitation code. (Participants who have registered for previous conventions may log in directly.)

 

2. Invited guests will receive a registration invitation code. Participants utilizing an invitation code need to complete the registration and bind the code via the official website or mobile platform. The system will automatically indicate the status as “Payment Completed.” Those who have received an invitation code are kindly urged to complete registration and binding as soon as possible.

3. Student representatives (only for authors of scientific papers) may enjoy a special discounted rate by becoming student members of China Highway & Transportation Society (eligibility is limited to full-time master’s and doctoral students majoring in highway and transportation fields). Applications can be submitted by scanning the QR code below or logging on to the website: https://gonglu.kechuangfu.com/site/member?ass_share_id=13. The discounted rate will be available automatically upon successful membership approval. Participants who apply for membership on-site during the convention are not eligible for the discount.

 

4. Self-registered participants may only remit the conference fee online after completing their registration. The fee encompasses conference materials, access to all sessions, and lunch on June 3. Travel and accommodation expenses are the participant’s responsibility.

5. The registration system for targeted invitation will officially open on April 28, 2026. The self-registration system will open on May 11, 2026. Spots are limited, and the registration channel will close automatically once fully occupied. Participants will be officially registered once their payment status is listed as “Payment Completed.” We encourage all participants to complete the necessary steps to secure attendance promptly.

6. In accordance with the convention's security requirements, all participants must register using their legal names and present valid identification to gain entry.

7. All conference fees will be covered by electronic invoices (special VAT invoices or general VAT invoices), which will be issued by the China Highway & Transportation Society. The invoices will be sent to the registered email address within 15 working days after the conference. Paid participants may also download the invoices via the conference system. Invoicing information can be modified only once, and the modification channel will close at 24:00 on June 3, 2026.

8. As the convention date approaches and spaces are limited, please be advised that no refunds will be provided after payment has been completed. For those participants who have paid but cannot attend, a complete set of conference materials will be sent following the event for reference.

9. Information on selected hotels near the conference venue is available on the official conference website or by scanning the QR code below. Early booking is highly recommended. Participants with customized accommodation needs may book alternative hotels independently. The venue enjoys convenient transportation. Please arrange your own travel and check-in and transportation routes are detailed in the annex.
