To whom it may concern,

The 2022 World Transport Convention (WTC), organized by China Association for Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Engineering and Hubei Provincial People’s Government, organized by Hubei Association for Science and Technology and supported by Chinese and foreign transportation technology organizations, is originally scheduled between November 4 and 7, 2022. Due to the grim situation of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control in China recently, and to effectively protect the attendees’ health and safety, WTC Executive Committee decides to postpone the convention after careful consideration. The date to reconvene the convention is to be determined.

WTC Executive Committee will pay close attention to the epidemic prevention and control situation and try to determine and announce the date to reconvene the convention as soon as possible on the condition that the health and safety of the attendees could be protected. Please check the convention’s official website and its WeChat official account “World Transport Convention WTC” for any updates.

The official notice issued by WTC shall prevail except for the following changes.

1. The important timeline

1) The deadline for the convention registration will be postponed, too. Admission is required with a valid identity document to enter the venue according to the epidemic prevention and control rules and safety requirements of the host city. Please complete your registration at our official website www.wtc-conference.com by November 20, 2022.

2) The deadline for the refund application will be postponed, too. If you have registered and paid the fees but you can not attend due to postponement, please consult WTC Executive Committee for a refund no later than November 10, 2022. Payments for the academic theses included in the proceedings shall not be refundable. One package of conference materials will be mailed to the representatives who pay the fees but are not present at the convention.

2. Thesis briefing at the forum/poster event will go online

All thesis briefings at the forum/poster event will go online and are scheduled to be held in mid-November. Further notice will be given regarding the arrangement of the online events.
